Piano-style sustain pedal for guitars and all other melodic instruments.

– Sample, sustain and layer any melodic sounds
– Compose “impossible” song arrangements using just one instrument
– Create soundscapes and ambience without DAWs or multi-effect setups
– Transform chords into synth-like pads and beautiful textures
– Above all, get inspired for songwriting and composition on the go…

The WET Only Footswitch serves as a remote foot-controller that bypasses the SPLIT & MIX toggle switch on the PLUS Pedal’s side panel, thus letting you switch in and out of the WET Only mode on the fly.
This flexibility allows you to build up a rich layer of ambient sound effects and then quickly unmute your instrument and return to playing on top.

(Note: Switch for OUT 1 must be set to MIX in order to use footswitch.)When using the WET Only footswitch (plugged into “CLEAN OUT/FSW”), you can still access the DRY only signal through a special
DRY OUT output built into the Footswitch itself.

What is the PLUS Pedal?
The PLUS pedal is a new kind of audio processing engine that offers piano-style sustain for electric guitars and all other melodic instruments. This is more than just a stompbox – it is a vast extension of your instrument that bridges the gap between rhythm and lead playing and lets players explore totally new territories.

How it works?
The PLUS Pedal does not generate sounds with oscillators and filters! Instead – think of it as a sort of “Smart Looper” that only catches the second half of each note or chord you play and samples that short snippet of sound into a seamless, continuous loop.

This technology called “Real Time Audio Sampling” ensures that each sustained note or chord will retain the exact character of your instrument and your playing style.
This method is also fully responsive to any playing style – create continuous layers of sustain incorporating vibrato, bends, harmonics, trills and other dynamic playing techniques. You can use the whammy bar, play with a slide or experiment with amp feedback or noises – the PLUS Pedal will capture all these tonal nuances and turn them into a continuous sound.

The PLUS Pedal can be used with all other acoustic instruments, such as brass or woodwinds, or even vocals. Use a standard microphone to produce amazing polyphony in real-time and create multiple voices.

Key features
Full spectrum of sustain controls – 4 knobs (Blend, Sustain, Rise, Tail) allow to modify all parameters of the sustain tones
– Multiple layers allow stacking up to 5 notes or chords simultaneously.
– Unique design – a brilliant combination of a guitar stomp-box and piano’s damper pedal. The steel case will make sure it lasts, and the classy look will make it fit on any stage, from café guitarist to rock band to jazz trio.
– Two Outputs will allow you to use the PLUS with a two amplifier setup or split your effects chain.
– FX Loop allows you to link the PLUS Pedal with any other effects unit and use it to modify the Wet signal

What is it for?
The PLUS Pedal is an extension of your instrument, allowing to create multiple layers on the go. From jazz-voice leading to heavy post-rock drones – the Plus Pedal allows the guitarist to do more with the instrument! A useful tool in any context – live performances, songwriting & arrangement, creating drones, ambient soundscapes, cinematic sound effects, and much more.

It is also a fantastic tool for aural training and practicing improvisation. Instead of thinking about which scale shape fits over what changes – the PLUS Pedal focuses all of your attention on listening to the tonal relationships between the chord and the notes you play on top.

How is it different?
-The PLUS Pedal is not a looper, nor a delay or a reverb pedal – it is a whole new type of effect based on real time sampling and looping.
-unlike synth-based units – the PLUS does not produce an annoying digital-sounding tone. The PLUS Pedal’s Wet signal is built from short samples of your instrument’s output, thus preserving the character of each note you play.
-it is not just for guitars – The PLUS Pedal can be used with any melodic instrument, including saxophones, horns, trombones, violins, cellos and many more.
-The PLUS Pedal features two outputs and a separate FX Loop which lets you create very interesting combinations of pedals

I’m afraid I haven’t had any performance opportunities to try the PLUS Pedal out, but in my informal practice, it’s been nothing less than a revelation!

The way the sustained sound blends perfectly and seamlessly with your straight tone is amazing… It really is a ‘musical’ feeling effect; so much so that it doesn’t FEEL like an effect.

My favorite settings involve using the PLUS Pedal to extend my notes, rather than to provide infinite sustain, and I like setting the envelope controls to gradually come in and out… With this kind of setting, I feel like my guitar has effectively got ‘open strings’ at every pitch…

This is an amazing product. Congratulations on the great work!

    Hello PLUS Pedal team,

I’ve been on assignment, so I haven’t had much time to play and learn the nuances of the pedal. I will say that it is one of the most well constructed pedals I’ve ever seen. It’s a beautiful design that’s almost too pretty for my pedal board…almost 😉

I barely scratched the surface of its capability, but I can already tell that it’s going to change the way I approach creating some types of sounds and quite possibly influence the way I make completely new sounds. Very well done!

I wish your team overwhelming success with the PLUS pedal. It’s the perfect balance of art and innovation.

This is one of the coolest pedals I own. It’s more like an instrument than effect, that’s why I like it so much.

I like using wet mode for Pad sounds when recording.
Also, it’s great to use a single mode when playing rock leads with distortion. Sustain some high note and play on top around it for a good culmination.

I give it a solid 9.5/10 just to keep you guys busy! 🙂

  4. Isaac

Let me just say that this pedal is indeed a game changer. I’m first and foremost a guitarist but have always gravitated towards the piano for solo arrangements because of, well, the pedal. This pedal has shortened that divide, and that is a profound accomplishment.

    Hello Plus pedal team.

I’ll be honest, I was a bit disappointed with the multiple delays but understand that it was in order to meet your own high standards.

I have found that my plus pedal has replaced my looper. I like the freedom it gives me to wander across keys and has furthered my music theory as I find myself rapidly thinking about harmony while outlining a chord.

I love the effects loop, I always have a boss chorus in there, set to quite a bold chorus. It really makes the sustained note glow. I think it is the feature that ‘makes’ the plus pedal.

I really like the 2 stage volume, particularly because it seems to react softly from half to full. If it were possible to have a full volume sweep on the pedal that would be amazing. That would be my suggestion for improvement.

It took a bit of getting used to, it’s easy to press too soon after a chord and make it oscillate, but when I am in sync with it is has made some beautiful pieces of music with me.

The quality is 10/10, the sound is very good but the chorus for me is essential. A full volume pedal in the device would be a cherry on the cake. On the whole, It is better than I expected (I thought it would be good though) and for me is a 9/10.

    Thanks, guys.

The pedal is great for making a sound design, rocking out on your own, playing live and recording. Very versatile and nifty. My hat comes off!

  7. John

I consider this to be an important piece of gear. It feels high end in terms of build, it does what it does exceptionally well, and it opens up whole new realms of sound. For reference, I own quite a bit of equipment — over 50 pedals, synth gear, custom guitars, Gittler guitar etc. The Plus Pedal stands out as a higher quality piece of gear to me. Great work!

    Hey Legends!

Sending some love from down under in Australia!

My experience with the PLUS Pedal has so far been amazing. It’s been a really beneficial tool and something that I’ve found applicable to electric guitar, acoustic guitar, banjo, and mandolin. It works well in a band setting to which makes it highly applicable to many users I’m guessing! I play in a 7 piece and the Plus Pedal does get used quite a bit and also sits nicely in the mix of all the other elements floating around.

For songwriting its been helpful to play around with a chord and workout a riff to suit. It’s been really helpful with that sort of stuff. As well as helping craft some really unique drones with mandolin and banjo while keeping a really natural sound and not overkilling it with reverb.

My favorite features are how easy it is to use and how easy it is to approach the pedal. Aesthetically speaking, it looks beautiful too (with a sound that matches it!) I particularly enjoy how easy it is to change, manipulate and control the plus pedal.

I’d say for the price, usability and reliability of the pedal (its been gigged with extensively at some very energetic shows with beers flying around and pedals being stamped on, on my behalf..) the plus pedal really holds its own compared to other established boutique pedals. I’d give the Plus pedal a sneaky 9.5/10 for sure.

Thanks for all your work legends!

  9. John

I’m very pleased with my purchase – the pedal sounds great. Thanks a bunch for bringing it into existence. I’ve been experimenting with a verity of pedal setups, and I’m very happy with, among other things, the port design (effects loop, dry signal out etc.), which have enabled me to achieve my desired setup configuration – great job.

  10. Bart

    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to say how incredibly grateful I am to have the Plus Pedal in my touring rig. This pedal is a gamechanger for someone like me who does a lot of solo flamenco/jazz guitar concerts! I love the pedal, it’s amazing and sounds great. So easy to use, and works brilliantly.

Thank you for doing what you do, thinking this idea up and seeing it to full commercial release and helping musicians like me push the limits of the composition further in what we do!

Super happy customer here will be eternally grateful. Thank you so much.

    Best Regards,

  11. Matt

    Hello Plus Pedal Team,

I’ve had the pedal now for a while and have been enjoying it. I mostly use it to create textures underneath the rest of the music we play. I love the extensive adjustability that has enabled me to make the perfect sound for my songs. I use the WET switch a lot. The ONLY complaint I have is that the WET switch is mechanically very loud when used. If you use it to fade in your sound, the click is noticed and even picks up in my vocal mic. If you could make a “silent” on/off switch I would love to have it!

I will be touring with the plus pedal this coming year and expect that others will be excited about your achievement and Idea with the Plus Pedal. I hope you guys do great with this thing, it’s a wonderful tool.

  12. Marshall

It really works well, and the half-pedal mode is an absolute genius! The pedal is very well constructed. I would have wanted an option for a brushed nickel finish of the pedal, but that is really a very minor deal. At first, I thought “full” sustain was too loud, but it works well in conjunction with the half-sustain, and it can be easily adjusted (or just don’t play the sustained notes as loud in the first place). Gamechanger, indeed!
