PLASMA PEDAL

What kind of power adapter should I use?

We recommend using 300mA, 9VDC (center negative) power supply. Other options may damage the gear.

MUST READ! If you use a power adapter with more than 9 V or center positiveyou will damage the gear!

Can it run on batteries?

Batteries as a power supply are not an option.

THE TUBE

Does it actually do something?

Within the tube, the audio signal discharges into electricity. Instantly it is picked up with enriched and emphasized harmonics.

Does the tube produce some heat?

The tube may show a minimal amount of warmth like a power adapter. Nothing dangerous or to concern about.

How long will the tube last?

We estimate that the tube should last for 70 000 hours of playing.

To give an example: If you would play every day without exception and for 8 hours, the tube would last for 24 years.

Is the tube replaceable?

Yes, the tube is replaceable in case it gets broken or damaged due to extreme physical impact. Otherwise, the tube is safely shielded!

BASICS

How to sustain a sound?

The basic function can be triggered by pressing the brass expression pedal. Ring your note or harmony and press the brass pedal to sustain.

Try to press the pedal all the way and halfway. This will provide either louder or quieter sustained sounds.

How to stop the sustain?

You can immediately stop your sustained sound with a fast press and release of the brass pedal.

How to sustain more than one layer?

Use the Plus pedal to sustain one layer (Single mode). Or up to 5 layers (Group mode).

You can select modes on side mounted switch.

In Group mode, the Sustain knob will enter secondary function. Center LED diode will show the selected number of layers. For example, the diode will flash 3 times if 3 layers are selected.

What does the LED light show?

The LED diode serves as an indicator for different options.

The main function is to show the sustain function. If you press the pedal full way – the sustain stays at 100% volume. If you press it half way, the sustain will stay at 50% volume. The LED diode will show it by glowing brighter or darker.

The secondary function shows layer amount (see – How to sustain more than one layer). If you select “group mode”, LED will show the selected number of layers. Adjust the layers by turning the “Sustain” knob.

How to use an effects (fx) loop?

Side mounted input and output is meant for effects (fx) loop.

Effects loop allows modifying the sustained sounds without changing the basic tone. All you need to do is to keep your selected effect on all the time.

For example, it can be used to sustain chords with tremolo even without tremolo in basic tone. Or other effects… You name it! The same story applies to the “Wet” mode.

There are no rules or right orders what kind of pedals you should use.

Can I use other footswitches for the “Wet” mode?

Unfortunately, no.

The Plus Pedal footswitch has been designed to carry dry signal, turn on the LED indicator and other functions.
